Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 September 2026
This notice explains how Briefly handles information when you use our AI study website.
Information we handle
- Account information, including your email and authentication records.
- Study preferences such as curriculum, class, subjects, goals and optional exam dates.
- Notes, documents, images, chapter questions, conversations, generated material, practice answers and progress you choose to save.
- Plan details, usage counts, order and payment identifiers, payment status and subscription dates. Razorpay handles payment credentials; our application does not store full card numbers or UPI PINs.
- Technical and security information, including request metadata, security events and IP-derived rate-limit identifiers. Hosting and authentication providers may also keep IP addresses and operational logs.
Why we use it
We use this information to authenticate accounts, save your work, personalise study support, generate answers, enforce usage limits, process purchases, prevent abuse and investigate support or security issues. Only upload material you are authorised to share. Avoid including sensitive personal information or another person's private data in study prompts.
AI and service providers
Relevant study inputs and context are sent to our configured AI service. Chapter research may send your curriculum, class, subject and chapter title to web-search services. Supabase provides authentication and data storage; Vercel hosts the website; Razorpay processes payments. Google Fonts serves the website's fonts and receives normal connection metadata.
Providers process information under their own service terms and privacy policies, and processing may occur outside India. AI providers and their settings can change; we will update this notice when our practices materially change. This notice does not promise that third-party services have zero retention.
Sharing and protection
We do not sell personal information or use study content for targeted advertising. We share information with providers as needed to deliver the service, where legally required, or to investigate fraud and protect users. Where you use school features, information is shared according to the feature's authorised school roles. Access controls, encrypted connections and security monitoring help protect data, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Retention and your choices
Saved study content remains while you keep it in your account. You can delete material using available controls and request account deletion or correction through the contact below. Payment, fraud-prevention and security records may need to be retained for legal or operational reasons; copies in provider backups may take additional time to expire. We do not currently promise a fixed deletion deadline.
You may ask about access, correction, deletion, consent withdrawal or other rights available under applicable law. Stopping necessary processing may prevent us from providing your account or a feature. Clearing browser storage removes local copies but does not delete server-side account records.
Students and children
If you are under 18, involve a parent or guardian before creating an account, uploading personal information or purchasing a plan. Parents and guardians can contact us about a child's information. A school or adult must have the necessary authority before sharing another student's data. This notice is not a substitute for any parental-consent safeguards required by law.
Cookies and changes
See our Cookie Policy for cookies and browser storage. We may update this notice as the service changes and will show the revised date here.
